How much can I earn as a Hypnotherapist?

Earnings vary by location and specialism. In 2025, a newly qualified therapist in the UK typically charges £60–£85 per session. However, experienced Clinical Hypnotherapists often use a "Package Model" rather than hourly rates. For example, a Smoking Cessation package typically commands £350–£500, while anxiety programmes can range from £600–£1,200.

Seeing just 8–10 clients a week can generate a significant full-time income.

Do I need a medical background?

No. For the Practitioner Diploma, no medical background is required. We provide all the clinical and psychological training you need. (Note: The Medical Diploma is reserved for healthcare professionals).

Is it a regulated profession?

In the UK, it is voluntary self-regulation. This is why training with an accredited school like LSCCH is vital. It allows you to register with the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council), which is the mark of quality recognised by the NHS.
