EMDR is an evidence-based approach, effective in the treatment of depression, anxiety, phobias, excessive grief, somatic conditions, and addictions . It is recommended by WHO ( World Health Organisation ) in the treatment of psychological trauma.

EMDR therapy is informed by the Adaptive Information Processing model which provides a way to understand and address unprocessed memories that appear to have become ''stuck'' and which lead to a wide range of set dysfunction, unhealthy behaviors, and general unhappiness.

The methodology is robust, evidence-based, and demonstrably effective and efficacious.
