Course Structure

The APDIP is delivered through four comprehensive course modules.

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Ego State Therapy (EST)

  • Addictive Behaviours & Psychological Pain (ABPP) or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Integrative Psychotherapy (IP)

 

Each module can serve as a Specialist Certificate in its own right, but collectively, these four modules provide a profound and integrated understanding of advanced psychotherapeutic practice.

Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is used to treat trauma and other emotional distress, particularly Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR is recognized as an effective treatment for trauma and other disturbing experiences by the American Psychiatric Association and the World Health Organization.

Integrative Psychotherapy (IP)
 

Integrative Psychotherapy (IP) is a flexible and comprehensive approach to therapy that combines elements and techniques from different therapeutic models to tailor the therapeutic approach to the individual needs of the client, rather than applying a single one-size-fits-all method.

Ego StateTherapy (EST)
 

Ego State Therapy (EST) explores and works with different "parts" or "states" of a person's personality to help individuals understand to achieve greater internal harmony and emotional balance.

Additive Behaviours & Psychological Pain (ABPP)

ABPP focuses on training practitioners to effectively treat addictive behaviours and the psychological pain associated with them, using clinical hypnotherapy and integrative psychotherapy techniques.
