Clinical trials show that clinical hypnosis is effective for both chronic and acute pain management. This sometimes underutilised therapeutic modality is easily learned and can be readily incorporated into everyday medical practice.

This workshop offers GPs and other medical specialists a unique insight into the role of clinical hypnosis in pain management and offers some simple techniques that participants can use to test the effectiveness.
